Proposal
I plan on doing this research presentation on how music was used as a tool by the Soviet Union to promote nationalism and allegiance to the Soviet Union. I would like to use Shostakovich and Prokofiev as examples of composers who were bound under the Soviet Union and lacked the freedom that allowed most European composers to write the music that they truly wanted to.
