The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
February 1-11, 2018
C.S. Lewis’ heroic tale of love, faith, courage, and giving; the life and death struggle for control of Narnia; and the grandeur of the triumph of good over evil has been faithfully captured for the stage by acclaimed playwright Joseph Robinette. Robinette is one of the most produced playwrights for family audiences in the world. He has dramatized the exciting story of three children who join the fight against the White Witch, with the Lion Aslan as their leader and protector. This production will delight audiences of all ages, true to the original Chronicles of Narnia books. Fans of Lewis’ work will find added insight into the author’s views of God, faith, and the promise of heaven to come.

The Diary of Anne Frank
October 5–15, 2017
The Diary of Anne Frank tells the story of a young Jewish girl and her family during the German World War II occupation of the Netherlands. The play explores themes of persecution, coming of age during wartime, and Jewish identity in a world turned upside down by hatred. Anne’s unique perspective, recorded in her personal diary discovered after the war had ended, attests to her hope for all people to someday live without fear. The New York Daily News described the play as having “so much beauty, warm humor, gentle pity … that it is difficult to imagine how this play could be contained in one set on one stage … this is a fine drama.”

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised]

The Complete Works takes us through all of Shakespeare’s Histories, Comedies and Tragedies in one hilarious show! It’s a fast-paced romp through the Bard’s well known plays. Join three actors, lots of wigs, crazy props, bona fide costumes, and iambic pentameter all rolled into this Shakespearean adventure you won’t soon forget. It’s time to get up close and personal with this in-your-face merriment staged in our black-box performance venue.

The Music Man
February 2 - 12, 2017
When fast-talking Harold Hill hears that no traveling salesman has ever won over stubborn River City, Iowa, he decides to give it a try! His biggest challenge is Marian the librarian, and in the process of trying to charm her, he falls in love himself. The Music Man celebrates a terrific score of marches, love songs and Barbershop quartets, along with great dance numbers and a family-friendly story.

Jane Eyre
September 29 – October 9, 2016
This new adaptation of the beloved Gothic novel imaginatively incorporates haunting visual images, dreamlike memories and innovative staging. Orphaned Jane Eyre overcomes her lonely and abusive childhood to become an accomplished governess for Mr. Rochester’s ward at mysterious Thornfield, a place with dark and terrifying secrets. Her psychological journey allows her to triumph over the oppression of the Victorian era, in a script that Chicago Magazine called “a tide of loving and sure storytelling that treats its audience with reverence and respect.”

Wit

A brilliant and respected university professor, known for her teaching of the difficult and metaphysical poems of John Donne, is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Throughout the course of her experimental treatments, she comes to an understanding of her work, and her life, with profound humor. Winner of the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the New York Times called Wit (sometimes written W;t) a “brutally human and beautifully layered new play…you feel both enlightened and, in a strange way, enormously comforted.” Presented in an intimate staging atmosphere, WIT is sure to move you.

Father of the Bride

Father of the Bride, a romantic comedy set in the ‘50s, was later made into a movie with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. It all starts when Stanley Banks first hears that his daughter, Kay, is engaged. Everyone else is happy—they like Kay’s football-playing fiancé—but the news is a shock to Stanley. He struggles not only with the chaos of a growing guest list, and florists and furniture movers taking over the house, but with the realization that his little girl has grown up.
