Sunny Side Up
Dan DeWitt
What event could change your life? Winning the lottery? Getting a promotion? Getting a degree? Scoring a home run, or a winning goal?
It might be hard to believe, but a breakfast conversation could be the most consequential event in your life if it is with Jesus.
Looking at the breakfast conversation in John 21, we see how Peter's life changed forever as he was challenged to step up and play his part in God's big plan.
And Jesus has an exciting challenge for all of us today. As Jesus captures our hearts with his love and forgiveness, we'll be motivated to be part of something truly extraordinary.
Perfect to read with men who you'd like to encourage to live all out for Christ or to give away at men's breakfasts. -
The Friend Who Forgives (Tales That Tell the Truth)
Dan DeWitt
Do you ever talk before you think? Mess up? Let others down? That's what Peter did, again and again and again, and it led him to abandoning his best friend, Jesus.
Peter loved Jesus. He felt terrible when he pretended not to know him. He thought all was lost when Jesus died.
But Jesus is not like our other friends. He wants to forgive us when we are really sorry, even when we mess up again and again and again. And because Jesus died and rose again he can. Jesus' death took the punishment for all of Peter's mistakes and all our mistakes, and his resurrection showed the penalty was lifted.
After he rose from the dead, Jesus went and found Peter and forgave him, and he can do the same for us. Peter spent the rest of his life telling people that if they put their trust in Jesus, they could be forgiven too again and again and again.
Children know all about failing, but they don't always experience true forgiveness. This book points them to Jesus, the one who will forgive them again and again and again. -

The Owlings: Book Two
Dan DeWitt
A worldview adventure for readers young and old alike about a boy named Josiah who learns important lessons from some unlikely visitors. Get ready to meet Gilbert, a talking owl, who is joined again by three of his friends in this the second book of "The Owlings" series, to explain some of the greatest truths in all the world — that the world doesn't exist by or for itself.
The new Owlings book is a simple story to help younger readers, older ones as well, to begin to grasp the power of the Christian view of the world. While the book hits on many moral themes like poverty, contentment, bullying, charity, sympathy, generosity, and the like, its main goal is to demonstrate the limits of science.
C.S. Lewis, the beloved author of Narnia, said it well, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” Like Lewis, DeWitt believes that Christianity best explains not only the natural world, but also the human experience.
Lewis serves as inspiration for these stories in more ways than one. C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien famously met to discuss their stories with a small group of friends that became known as “The Inklings.” Two other British authors are often associated with this group in terms of similar interests and influence: Dorothy Sayers and G.K. Chesterton. These four serve as the inspiration for the owls: Clive, Gilbert, Dorothy, and Reuel.
The Owlings: Book Two also includes a short afterword for parents and a discussion guide.

Why God?: Big Answers About God and Why We Believe in Him
Dan DeWitt
Thomas loves to think about silly questions. (Are bats really mice with wings?) But other questions are humdingers . . . like when Thomas wonders, Why God? Why do we believe in Him? That’s when he and his sister, Hope, must go in search of a humdinger of an answer. Come along as they discover the clues God has given us to help us know how real and wonderful He truly is.
Written by Dan DeWitt, an apologetics professor with a love for stories, Why God? takes apologetics and makes it accessible for children, not only answering their questions but also opening their hearts to the wonders of God. -
Finding Freedom in Forgiveness
Kristin DeWitt
It is interesting that forgiveness is something we gratefully receive from others, often times more than something we freely give to others. But choosing not to forgive imprisons us in the past and locks out all potential for change. In fact, harboring resentment and bitterness hurts us more than anyone else. Consider this: When a person has been hurt and chooses unforgiveness; it is like drinking a poison and hoping the other person will die. Forgiveness is a journey that may be lengthy and may be costly; but it is a journey worth taking. Whatever forgiveness costs us...unforgiveness costs us far more.
