An unsuspecting penguin is kidnapped by three hungry cats. Dreaming of the fish the penguin will catch for them, the cats do no realize that they have kidnapped a very resourceful penguin. The penguin escapes, blends in with his various surroundings, and eventually makes it safely back to the zoo. Meanwhile, the cats are convicted of kidnapping and sentenced to nothing but gruel for life. The writing is concise and will capture the imaginations of young children. The alliterative title also incites the readers interest. This amusing and clever tale is complemented by quirky illustrations that tell even more of the story. Recommended. Taylor Wilcox, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
