Review

Telling the story of Beatrix Potter, McPhail recounts her childhood experiences and passion for painting. Told in beautiful watercolor, the story attempts to be as charming as Beatrix Potter’s own stories. A sweet biographical story about the dreams of a young artist is about the how art is an escape. Would be good to use in the classroom dealing with art, literature, or creative writing to inspire little artists in their own works.

Recommended. Sharon Tapia, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
