A family trying to smuggle themselves out of their country journey across a sea and lose their family cat named Kunkush on an island in Greece. A woman finds Kunkush and raises money to reunite her with her family. This story is based on true events and includes photos of the family and Kunkush in the back pages. This book is intended to broaden the social horizon of older children. The plot and characters are real and lend themselves to teach children that people come from varying backgrounds.
Recommended. Tesla Klinger, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
