Agee’s short picture book illustrates a girl’s search for a dog at a local animal shelter. The salesman attempts to sell her a variety of pets; however, none of them is the sought-after dog. Agee’s illustrations and plot provide a funny tale about choosing pets. However, this simplicity does not allow the book to extend past entertainment. This book should be considered an optional purchase as its usefulness is limited, but remains a fun, quick read for kids. Optional, Anna Jennings, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
