Review

This simply written book gives the history of cartography from prehistoric to modern times. It focuses on the way various cultures drew and thought about the world’s shape and includes a timeline, mapmaking tools, and a list of subjects mapmakers love. Librarians and Educators could use the bibliography to find further sources on mapmaking and students will enjoy reading the author and illustrator’s notes. I recommend this book for its easily read format and added elements. Recommended. Lauren Crider, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
