Review
This charming tale illustrated in mixed media tells the story of a little girl finding and collecting as many pinecones as she can. Her father, occupied with their playful dog, does not notice her obsession until the end, but eventually helps her decorate with the pinecones she found. For educators interested in incorporating the outdoors into their lessons, the back flap contains instructions for cleaning pinecones. The charming yet simply told story along with the beautiful illustrations should inspire children to start nature collections of their own and the book overall seems suitable for its audience. Highly Recommended. Lauren Crider, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
