Abstract
Twenty PA programs have begun to adopt CASPer in their admissions process as a valid and low-cost method of assessing the non-cognitive competencies of their applicants. This session will present evidence surrounding its use in PA admissions and discuss the opportunities and challenges of integrating CASPer into the admissions process.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the value and challenges of non-cognitive assessments in the admissions process
- Describe the format of a situational judgment test (SJT) and its validity evidence for use in PA admissions
- Develop a plan for how a PA program might integrate an SJT into their current admissions process
