Pete Reese, a 1960 graduate of Cedarville College, served Cedarville as Athletic Director from 1998-2008, Director of Outdoor Athletic Facilities, assistant men's basketball coach, and head baseball coach. He guided the construction of new complexes for soccer, baseball, softball, track & field, golf, and cross country. The University's Alumni Association recognized Reese for his outstanding contribution as their 2002 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. He was named the 1990 NAIA District 22 and Mid-Ohio Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Yellow Jackets to their first MOC title in 20 years and the top seed in the district tournament.
As a Cedarville student, he established himself as one of the most dominant basketball players to ever play for the Yellow Jackets and was inducted as a charter member of the Cedarville University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984. His jersey number 43 was retired by the Hall of Fame in January, 2005.
