This charming read follows a girl named Ollie as she ventures into the woods on a snowy Christmas Eve and meets a special friend. Young readers will eagerly follow along as Ollie goes on her adventure, then ends up in her bed for a few hours of sleep before Christmas morning. The illustrations are precious, and the use of cutouts in the pages of the book add another dimension to the tale. Nicola Killen enchants her audience with a wonderful Christmas Eve adventure, adding to the anticipation for the season. Teachers and parents will find this a useful tool to settle down little ones while still gently exciting them about the wonders of Christmas.
