This beautifully illustrated children’s book tells the story of a little girl and her Mama throughout their day. The young girl describes every detail of what they do together from showering, combing their hair, eating breakfast, and playing outside in the rain puddles. Though the lines do not rhyme, the narration is poetic in its choice of alliteration, repetition, and description. The beautifully painted illustrations complement the poetics with simple, yet vivid pictures of the girl’s day. Young children will relate to the young girl’s simple day and her love for her mother. The story is sweet and beautiful as it describes the relationship between a mother and daughter. Parents will enjoy reading this book to their little ones and appreciate the little things in life.
