Andy Rash’s Eclipse tells the story of a young boy who plans to travel and watch a total solar eclipse. As he prepares for the day of the eclipse, he buys special glasses, maps out the location that he wants to visit, and calculates the timing of the totality. He and his father travel to the location and camp out, and the next day, they watch the eclipse together. This book is a good rendition of experiencing a solar eclipse, and it is somewhat educational in that it describes what solar eclipses are and how they happen. Eclipse is a good selection for young readers who are interested in learning about eclipses.
